It is essential to be aware of the status of the Eruv each week before using it.

Enclosed areas of wasteland and the Metrolink tracks are excluded from the Eruv and carrying into, out of, or within these areas is not permitted on Shabbos.

This map shows a simplified version of the Eruv although the actual borders sometimes cover a larger area.
